Eclipse Privacy Policy

Eclipse is designed to run locally on your device. Eclipse does not operate a user account system, analytics backend, advertising network, or server-side tracking service.
Data Eclipse Does Not Collect
Eclipse does not collect, sell, rent, or share personal data with the developer.
Eclipse does not collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or contacts.
- Precise location.
- Advertising identifiers.
- Analytics events.
- Crash logs sent to a developer-controlled server.
- Reading history, watch history, library items, notes, ratings, downloads, or progress on a developer-controlled server.
Data Stored On Your Device
Eclipse may store app data locally on your device so the app can function. This may include:
- App settings.
- Library, history, bookmarks, ratings, notes, and progress.
- Reader downloads and cached media or image data.
- Locally saved logs that you can choose to export.
- Authentication tokens for third-party services you choose to connect.
This data is stored by the app on your device and is not sent to the developer. If you enable Cloud Sync in a supported build, selected app data may be stored in your personal iCloud, Google Drive, or OneDrive account. To reproduce your setup on another device, the private cloud payload may include installed-source code and configuration, provider settings, capability-bearing add-on URLs, and tracker credentials. Cloud Sync excludes downloaded media, caches, logs, temporary files, cloud-provider login tokens, ephemeral playback URLs, and session cookies.
If you enable Face ID for a PIN-protected profile, authentication is performed by the operating system. Eclipse receives only the authentication result and does not receive or store biometric data.
Cloud Sync is optional and starts off on every device. You must turn on a provider on each device that you want to join sync. Turning a provider off stops that device from reading or writing cloud data without deleting either its local copy or the existing remote copy; remote data is removed only when you separately choose Delete Cloud Data. Eclipse is not responsible for availability, restrictions, data loss, account action, or other issues affecting your chosen cloud service. Use Cloud Sync at your own risk. iCloud, Google Drive, OneDrive, Apple, Google, and Microsoft are trademarks of their respective owners and are not affiliated with Eclipse.
Third-Party Services
Eclipse can connect to third-party services only when you choose to use them. These may include media metadata providers, tracker services, external source modules, or reader sources.
When you connect or use a third-party service, your device communicates directly with that service. The service may receive information necessary to complete your request, such as search terms, source requests, authentication tokens, watch progress, reading progress, ratings, or other data you explicitly sync.
Third-party services are governed by their own privacy policies and terms. Eclipse does not control how those services process data.
If you configure a Stremio add-on on your local network, Eclipse connects only to the address you supplied and to media under that configured origin. Eclipse does not use this permission to discover or scan other devices on your network.
Downloads And Offline Content
Downloaded reader or media content is stored locally on your device. Eclipse does not upload downloaded content to the developer.
Logs
Eclipse may create local diagnostic logs to help troubleshoot app behavior. Logs remain on your device unless you choose to export or share them.
Logs are intended to redact sensitive values such as cookies, tokens, and private headers, but you should review exported logs before sharing them.
Children's Privacy
Eclipse does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes To This Policy
This policy may be updated when Eclipse changes how it handles data. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are made.
